Taking Inspiration from Pinterest

Do I own my own home? No. Can I afford to buy anything for a home? No. Does that stop me pinning? Hell no.

I have a board on pinterest called 'Home Inspiration' where I gather all the images, styles and designs that I want to create in my future home, whenever I am able to afford that. So I thought today I would show you a little bit into this in the hope that you feel inspired too.

If there's anything I learned making this collage it's that I like white. Lots of white and grey. I have no shame, clean simple lines are what I love. I also have a huge desire to create a photo wall. Filling a space with my favourite art work, memories and cool designs just seems like the perfect way to portray your personality. It's a great focal piece for a room and makes a great conversation starter.

I've always been taken by Swedish furniture and 1950's inspired decor. Not that I would choose a bright pink kitchen or dusky patterned wall paper but give me a thin dark wood table leg any day.

And that's why I love pinterest. You can mix and match, pick and select everything you love and store it all in one place whether that be planning your wedding, building your dream home or lusting after jewellery pieces from fashionistas and models alike.

If you want to check out what photos I've been hoarding away for the past few years you can check out my boards here
