So the other day I was walking to work and it was utterly pouring it with rain. The type of rain that seems to seep into your bones and drenches you from the inside out. And typically I was wearing dolly shoes. The worst kind of shoe to wear in the rain. So as I sat down at my desk and assessed the damage the rain had done to my adorable suede dolly shoes, I noticed many other things wrong with my outfit.
Not only were my shoes soaking wet, they now stank and had holes in the bottom. Wonderful. As well as this, as I pulled down my skirt to adjust the soggy wetness of the fabric on my equally wet tights, I ripped a hole in the side. Great. What a jolly good start to the day.
And as a result of my absolute disaster of an outfit, a shopping haul was born.
How much do you love these? POM POMS. POM POMS ON SHOES. I can't. These adorable little things were only £10 from Primarni. Yes I recognise they're a little unusual but really, how could I resist? I also picked up some foot cushions for these beauties as I am between a 5 and 6 and they were just a little big. Now they're perfect... can you tell I'm in love?
As previously mentioned, the skirt that I ripped a hole in was also from the H&M basics collection however, well done H&M for stepping up your game. This is exactly the same skirt but now in a thicker fabric. Previously the skirts were slightly opeque and you were at risk of some fellow seeing your bum cheeks should you fail to wear tights. However, now this little basic black skirt has been transformed. Thick fabric, tighter waistband and only £6.99. Bargain.
I also picked up some little black footsies in a 5 pack for (i think) £5.99 as mine had got a bit tattered.
Now how much can I express my love for this? A grey wollen roll neck batwing jumper - my heart aches with joy. I am a total sucker for a roll neck. They keep you warm, they look fabulous and they have just the right amount of 90's cool. I picked up this cosy thing from New Look for £19.99. They have such an amazing AW collection that I couldn't resist getting something in advance, despite it being the most humid day on the earth.
And then to top it all off I bought another thing I didn't really need. A coaster. I was just heading off to Primark enjoying my own little world when I found myself being sucked into Tiger... whoops. Its no secret that I am an IKEA lover and Tiger is basically the same thing just with everything you don't really need. Random bits of excellent crap. I got this & glass coaster for £1. £1! Can you even believe it. How could I resist?
Side note - I didn't want a bag because save the planet and all so she wrapped up my coaster in this freaking adorable owl tissue paper. Just look at them!
And here is my new outfit all together. No I didn't wash my hair or brush it, or even put make up on cause no. I don't care. I'm comfortable!
Now I'm off to enjoy my new clothes. Lovely.
