DAY 5: Uni Christmas Decorations

After a few weeks of nagging I was finally able to put up the Christmas tree and oh isn't it beautiful. We all gathered around, made paper chains, put the baubles on and battled with gold beads to create this little beauty. I just love it.

We picked this up from Argos for about £7 after a disaster with an ASDA tree that was delivered with no stand. How dissapointing. Thank god Argos was there to save the day with their Black Friday discounts.

The baubles are from ASDA and Poundland. The litte reindeer and christmas trees I picked up in Poundland for (obviously) £1. They were just too cute to pass up and I thought the tree needed something a little more personal.

And what is a tree without a tree topper. We'd debated getting one from ASDA or IKEA but they were just a bit too expensive for our student budgets, We opted for this gold glittered star from Poundland. Love it!

My housemate Aimee went on a little adventure home and came back with these two beauties for the hallway. I believe the countdown penguin was from Newlook but the star I have no idea. You can generally pick up things like this in your usual crafts/garden centre in a whole range of colours. I think it just adds something extra to the hallway if you don't want to have a garland or string of lights hanging everywhere.

I'm also doing the #24daysofinstagram this year over on my instagram, theallygator2, if you want to check out my daily festive pictures!
